We will stop for lunch in front of a calving tidewater glacier, giving you ample time to witness and photograph the face of the glacier as mammoth pieces of ice crash into the sea

Sea otterFor groups, a custom sea kayaking add-on is available. Small groups can choose to add a couple hours sea kayaking to this trip. We'll disembark the boat and sea kayak up to the face of the glacier. Sea kayaking amongst icebergs and up to the face of a calving glacier is an amazing Alaska experience. Getting To Seward
Seward, Alaska is 129 miles south of Anchorage. You can reach Seward by road or Backcountry Safaris would be happy to package bus and or Alaska Railroad transportation to and from Seward as well as overnight lodging in Seward with your Small Boat Whale Watching Glacier Cruise.

ITINERARY **
Steller Sea LionsArrival - We recommend that your arrive in Seward the evening before the departure day. If you're driving from Anchorage to Seward the morning of the trip you should allow 3 hours to drive to Seward. If you would like us to include hotel lodging in Seward with your Small Boat Whale Watching Cruise just let us know.

Departs from the Seward's Small Boat Harbor at 8:00 AM. Check in one hour before departure.

Dress in layers. A stocking cap and gloves are nice to have if you're not used to cooler temperatures. Kenai Fjords National Park is a temperate rain forest and rain gear, pants and jacket are highly recommended if you want to be outside for the best views of the wildlife, whales and the glaciers.
